i know most people will be like blah what the f*** but to me this was the song for me. compared to the trash that beyonce, alicia keys, lady gaga, lil' wayne and Chris brown dolled out for us this year this is by far the best. can you imagine the tragic nonsense Alicia keys expects us to be stuck with? i seriously do not know why these people are afraid of going outside their box. rock stars do it everyday though it doesn't come out great all the time but at least they tried. do they think that we are that stupid? they come into the industry hungry without food and shelter and nobody who cares about them. we embrace them, love them, give them food to eat and guess what they do; turn their backs on us and force feed us with the crap they call music. i rather listen to kumbaya than the trash I'm subjected to these days. most of them forget that we are their customers and we need to be satisfied or else........!
come to think of it, i think we are already too stupid to know that right? look at us.... i mean most of us are more interested in daydreaming about them. they feed us with good looks and nudity with a slap of trashy music in the face and we say thank you. we always fail to realize the obvious until we are broke and looking for money to feed ourselves. seriously what are we thinking when we go about praising lil' wayne for a job woefully done? i don't get it. why the hell should i call you a pro when you can't rap a sentence that will want me to be interested in the other things you have to say?
back to the subject rihanna i must say though that i was not her fan from the outset, has really grown as an artist. when she newly came in with
her music of the sun album she like every other Caribbean who was trying to keep it real with her reggae roots. it was an average album then she came with the
a girl like me which was rhythm and blues catchy but okay. all and all I'd saId it was nice. then the breakthrough....
good girl gone bad was a pop album with hints of rock and r'n'b to this i said rihanna had arrived.
now
rated r I've heard bits and pieces of the entire album and i say its a rock album with hints of reggae and pop. now this is what i call diversity. she is trying new things and to me whether it sells or not shows that she is out there to entertain us though i think she's still using the cheap route of sex sells to promote her album.
Russian roulette to me is a very deep song and to me it made sense. the lyrics were very metaphorical and it had to do with a struggle, fight etc. she nailed it here and i don't care what anybody thinks of this song like i said before this is the best thing that rihanna has ever opened her mouth and sang. this song is amazing. its simple and short not like the too long and boring bullshit that beyonce or lady gaga subjects us to......very agonizing.
to me great songs don't take too much time, they are not long. they come, touch you and go within a matter of five minutes. finally i can now say that rihanna now has a classic song that will never die even in ages to come. Russian roulette is now one of the greatest songs of all time. and if you were wondering of chris brown........he's doomed not because that he's an abusive prick but because he was never meant to be a musician and he was, he needs a new management......FAST!
